It’s harvest time, which means the bounty of the earth is in full swing. To nobody’s surprise, winter squashes are now in season. You might recognize this best in the form of the ubiquitous pumpkin, but the others are just as plentiful, and therefore quite inexpensive. And yes, while apples can be available year round, there’s a reason why Autumn is Apple Picking Season. This is the best time of year for the fall varieties.
